The party may decide to get a dedicated beast of burden. If they opt for something more exotic than a horse or ox, they will need to go hunting for it.
Potential exotic pack animals include various bears, aurochs, or thestrals (which are homebrew)
Bear
Bears aren't that exotic, but one big enough to pull a wagon would be less common... or easily tamed. The options would be Polar, Cave, Owl, or Bear-dog. None of which are common near the guildhall.
Polar Bear
The polar bear would be rather outlandish and would be found far in the north end of Anvil Rock. This would be a several weeks journey for questionable results. Carnivorous.
Cave Bear
Found on the southern edge of Grenth's Fingers, or the northern edge of the dragonspine. Primarily herbivorous, they would likely be a good choice.
Owlbear
This would be a very poor choice, as they are consummate predators, and would not give up their ferocity easily. They are strict Carnivores and may try to eat a party member if left unfed.
Bear-dog
Wild Bear-dogs can be found on the northern edge of the Plains of Dwayna, in the hills separating Eir's Stedding from the rest of Tyria. The Goliaths of Eir's Stedding have domesticated some, but they are Goliath companions, not pack animals, so the Goliaths may be hesitant to let you have them. They are primarily Carnivorous but can be fed plants as well.
Aurochs
Aurochs are ill-tempered Herbivores, native to southern Grenth's Fingers. Prey to Owlbears or dire wolves, getting close enough to one without spooking or aggravating it would be a challenge in itself.
Thestral
Homebrew Creature native to Godslost swamp. They are only visible to those who have been truly touched by death. They are good-natured creatures, similar to a horse in stature. Herbivorous creatures can be tamed if they can be found. Winged and rideable, they wouldn't be able to fly with a wagon in tow, but with a single creature, they could be convinced to fly with a rider.
