The party can confront Foryn themselves, or take the matter to the guard.

Rox is a crossroad town, in the heart of Tyria. It is built over the crossing of the twin rivers, with Melandru's Grove right on the other side of the Lyss.

Rox is primarily a traveler's town, with hotels aplenty. Some simple shops are in town, a blacksmith, bakers, and other goods to help travelers on their way. To the East of Rox is a larger city, Rytlock.

Things to do

Death of a Tax Collector

A man of good character but ill repute has gone missing. Look around the outside of town to see if you can find anything. They will find his body, swarmed by 8 bloodhawks. Once the birds are driven away, an investigation check on the body finds a slash through his throat, too clean to be the birds' work. On the body, they find 100gp worth, a mix of copper, silver and gold, and a list of names of people to be collected from. Several names are marked off, the next on the list being a "Foryn Gilnith." The party can confront Foryn themselves, or take the matter to the guard.

rewards

If the party turns him into the guard, the mayor gives the party 200gp to share. If they kill him themselves, they get 100gp and whatever was in Foryn's house.

Goblin Attack

Either after the Death of a Tax Collector, or if the party loiters in town too long, an alarm goes out from the church bells. Guards bar the doors to the Inn and to the Town Hall. The party can force or talk their way past the guards blocking the door, or sneak out the back of the Inn. Once out in the town square, they witness a scene of Goblins charging for the blacksmith's and tanner's shops, which are outside their houses. A guard bars the door into the house but does nothing for the shop. The door is knocked off it's hinges and the guard tossed down the steps as an old Leonin limps out of the house and lunges the distance to the forge that the goblins were raiding.

Goblin Village
