The party is troubled by bandits. 2d6 with scimitars, 1d6 with crossbows. Once half the bandits are slain, the others will flee on their turns.

Once routed, each bandit slain drops their respective weapon, though in bad shape, so less valuable than normal (5gp per weapon instead of 12gp)
A player with smith's tools proficiency can repair scimitars up to their normal sale value, same with woodcarver's tools and the crossbows.
